Back in 2022 I warned you that Everyone Is Under Surveillance. And since I started this blog I’ve told you that the USA is a Police State. I’ve given numerous examples and they just keep coming. Like this ridiculous case just adjudicated by the Eighth Circuit, where a County Judge thought it would be OK to lock up two kids (14 & 12) for about an hour for absolutely nothing!
Unless you’ve been under a rock for the past few months, people are becoming aware of our Police State and are very upset about it once it affects them. As I’ve pointed out, Cops are generally bad people who sometimes do good things. Just like Flock is a bad thing, that sometimes (vastly overstated by the company) does some good. They know that they are bad guys because they have an US vs THEM mentality, instead of a co-operative mentality. They know people and their bosses (town boards) hate ALPR camera abuse, so they try to hide such abuses (often poorly, because besides being general bad they’re also generally stupid).
Irrefutable stupidity is how that moron’s misuse of Flock got him in trouble for showing up at a white lady’s door, accusing her of a crime that any “good”/competent cop wouldn’t have done. POS Jamie Milliman got a quick beat down because said lady had a $70K vehicle that had it’s own cameras and data collection, so she could prove it wasn’t her. Fox News would like you to believe that this was just an innocent mistake, her lawsuit will drive home the point that it wasn’t an innocent mistake. It was the act of a bad cop who should have been fired immediately for incompetence, not given a written reprimand and allowed to retrain, because you cannot fix stupid.
I want to emphasis that her case would have went very differently if she didn’t have the evidence she provided to the police chief. Like my totally fabricated case, she would have had to hire an attorney and expert to challenge Milliman’s nonsense. If she was indigent, she likely wouldn’t have been able to get a lawyer or an expert to challenge Milliman’s faulty evidence because it was a misdemeanor. Even if she could get an attorney assigned, she’d be a victim of the Meet ’em, Plead ’em & Flee ’em mentality most appointed attorneys have. Thus, a poor and/or uneducated woman in her position would end up being forced to plead to some minor violation that she was totally innocent of, because she wouldn’t have the money (or possibly the knowledge) to fight the system that was screwing her; because, a POS like Milliman gets the Prosecutor’s blessing.
As I mentioned before, a properly functioning Prosecutors Office would weed out the bad cases a POS like Milliman brought to them, but too many (almost all) prosecutors do not push back on dubious cases, they just push them through the system. That’s why I believe that most prosecutors are very bad people. If we had good stern prosecutors that told Police Agencies to fire bad cops like Milliman our police state would end. It’s very easy for a prosecutor to get a cop fired, you simply tell his boss, I won’t prosecute anything with his/her name on it. I remember, back in the 90s, a silly cop kept giving people speeding tickets for 31-33 miles per hour in a 30. The prosecutor told chief “I’m sick of his shit, I won’t prosecute any ticket he submits”. The Chief then fired the bad cop. Thus, bad prosecutors are the problem as they could get rid of all the bad cops in a few years. Similarly, prosecutors could also end the ALPR nonsense by simply refusing to admit any ALPR evidence, correctly asserting that it’s 70% unreliable.
